Hello, Welcome to One Breath at a Time.
I’m Farah.
I currently live by the Ocean in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina. A series of synchronous and serendipitous events led me here from my home in the UK. I didn’t intend to move to the US and my plans are not to stay here forever, however, I’m learning to appreciate the freedom that comes from letting go and going with the flow.
A few years ago I altered the entire trajectory of my life in a single, breathtaking moment (more on that, here). Longing for freedom from the constraints of my life I chose to make sweeping choices in the belief that I’d then be free.
Since having learned the truth about what it takes to experience true freedom and liberation I now know this was not the way.
Rapid change can often overwhelm our nervous system. Like a child outgrowing their clothes after a growth spurt, we need time to grow into our new selves.
An unhurried journey grants us precious pauses to reflect, recalibrate, and root more deeply into our authenticity. Like an oak tree steadily extending upwards and outwards while grounding into the earth below.
For me, true liberation arises from embracing the natural ebb and flow. Experiencing life, one breath at a time creates the space and the ease to release, let go and dive into the flow of life.
That’s what I’m doing now.
I invite you to join me in exploring the nuances of freedom so that collectively we support each other to experience freedom, choice, purpose and a deep trust in the unfolding of life.
What you can expect here
In this space, I write to set my thoughts free and invite a more fearless, curious and wild expression of myself to emerge.
Radical honesty is at the heart of this space where I embrace vulnerability as a catalyst for growth and transformation. Through raw, uncensored storytelling and soul-baring reflections, I invite you to join me on this profound journey of self-discovery and collective awakening.
Let’s explore the magic that arises when we dive into the fears and stories that keep us from experiencing mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and financial freedom.
As a free subscriber, you'll receive weekly offerings of my unfiltered thoughts and experiences, lovingly shared with compassion and gentle provocation – a loving nudge to step into your authenticity.
As a paid subscriber, you’ll receive a deeper immersion into the unabridged, unpolished version of my life and work. This is where I fearlessly explore the nuances of the human experience with radical responsibility.
Together, we'll nurture a community of truth-seekers, unafraid to confront our shadows and celebrate our light, for it is only through radical acceptance that we can truly experience true freedom.
Four anchoring reminders from my heart to yours
Simplicity is the path and nature's pace is the greatest teacher.
Stories bind us until we release their grip.
Freedom is the consequence of finding yourself.

About my work
I offer my experiences and learnings as a bridge to support heart-centred humans in rediscovering their freedom.
For over a decade, I've been a devoted student of practices that help me navigate the beautiful and messy parts of being human. I've trained extensively in movement, meditation, breathwork, pranayama, yoga, and qigong under the guidance of some wonderful teachers.
What I've learned through this journey is the paradox that the true teacher lives within each of us.
As I weave together the threads of all I've studied, my work is emerging as creating space for people to unearth their inner wisdom.
Whether through teaching movement, guiding breathwork, acting as a mentor or sharing my writing, my role is that of a mirror, reflecting back the immense resource of power and peace that rests at your centre.
That’s enough about me, I’d love this space to be centred around community. So, what about you?
How does the idea of experiencing freedom one breath at a time sound to you? I’d love to hear your perspective in the comments!
In what aspect of your life would you like to experience more freedom?
